Brian Kilmeade : Biography

Brian Kilmeade joined the FOX News Channel (FNC) in December 1997 and is co-host of the network’s morning shows, Fox & Friends First (6-7 AM EST) and FOX & Friends (7-9 AM EST), which have been the number one morning programs on cable television for more than a year. He also serves as the network’s sports anchor covering all major sporting events and breaking news.

As a co-host for FOX & Friends his interviews with Secretary of State Colin Powell and comedian Janeane Garofalo made national headlines. Kilmeade also played a large part in September 11th coverage as well as reported outside of Iraq as the buildup to Operation Iraqi Freedom was in its final phase. He also has been the co-host of the radio show Brian and the Judge (9AM-12PM EST), heard nationally on 80 stations, as well as XM and Sirius Radio, since 2006.

Prior to joining FNC, Kilmeade worked as a feature reporter/anchor for NEWSPORT TV where he hosted "Newsport Journal," a daily magazine show for the national sports network as well as anchoring "Scoreboard Central," a live 30-minute general sports program. Earlier in his career, Kilmeade served as a sports anchor/director at WLIG-TV in New York.

A graduate of Long Island University, Kilmeade began his career as a correspondent on "Channel One," a daily national high school television news program. He then served as an anchor/host for KHSC-TV in Ontario, California and also co-hosted "The Jim Brown Show" on XTRA-AM, an all-sports radio network. In addition, Kilmeade is the author of the New York Times bestseller "The Games Do Count", as well as "It’s How You Play the Game."
